As far as I know, there were some problems with a Turkisch company, this is why the whole project has some delay, but now Polish company is responsible for underground tram project and the const. works are under way, however I am not sure when they are going to finish it (maybe in 2-3 years time?).

The Sigismund Chapel is said to be the best example of Renaissance art and architecture with no match without Italy and few equals within.

Yes - the whole "Nowe Miasto" complex will consist of hotel (under const), shopping center (on the photo - it will be open this autumn), and some office buildings.

Part III - Kazimierz - former Jewish distric

Since the end of IIWW, Kazimierz used to be a backwater area with rather bad reputation.

However, this is changing very fast with more and more monuments being restored and with mushrooming cafes and restaurants.

The area is very popular among tourists.
